This handcoloured little frieze depicts a frieze of people queuing and enjoying a little chat. This piece is a humourous answer the the artist’s observation that in England people don’t seem to mind to queue up. Often they make good use of the waiting time to engage in a little conversation with their neighbour, beginning with a remark on the weather. It is known today that these micro-contacts often add to your well-being in your community.
