Blue Prince

The motive of the Blue Prince is a reminiscence of an Indian miniature in the the house of the artist’s parents, which showed a serene blue god or prince in a palace garden. As a young girl Kristiane admired the finesse of the small painting and was astounded to see blue skin colour to appear so beautiful. Her Blue Prince is depicted in a classical profile and emenates dignity and beauty as he is reassured and focused. The bold contrast between the warmer tones of Orange and Yellow and the bright blue are aesthetically rather pleasing. This large format print exudes a positive and joyful energy.
