Dogstar

Two yellow circles move through deep blue space, referencing Sirius A and B, the binary system associated with the Dog Star. Embossed forms created from can lids meet the tactile texture of printed woven cotton. The work also draws on accounts of the West African Dogon people and their early representations and astronomical traditions surrounding the Sirius system.
